Our Materials
Southwest Log Homes, Inc. is based in Texas and pre-constructs its log structures in Ft. Worth, but purchases its dry lodge pole pine, spruce, fir, ponderosa pine, western red cedar, aspen, and larch logs directly from logging operations in New Mexico, Colorado, Montana, British Columbia and Washington State. It purchases reclaimed antique timbers and logs where ever they are available. Regardless of where the logs are bought, however, each home is created and constructed in Texas.

There is no “middle man” when you purchase a Texas log home from Southwest Log Home, Inc. You deal directly with the source and not with a log home company in the North West or Canada.

Our Process
Every new log home that Southwest Log Homes, Inc. builds is designed to the customer’s specifications and site requirements and not from a stock plan book. David Barfield, owner of Southwest Log Homes, Inc. and architect of most of the homes it builds, works personally with the customer to create their vision. Each home is unique and never duplicated again.

Our log and timber frame homes range in size from about 400 square feet to about 30,000 square feet and feature only the best quality, and most impressive design and execution. Because each creation is unique, we do not publish a plan book or price list.

If the customer’s budget for the home they want allows Southwest Log Homes, Inc. a reasonable return on its investment, Southwest Log Homes Inc. will meet with the customer, sketch a design of the home the customer desires, and give the customer an estimate of the cost for that home.

If the new customer contracts with Southwest Log Homes, Inc., it will provide an actual cost estimate for their home within two business days of that agreement.

Our Guarantee
Southwest Log Homes, Inc. guarantees all its work.

There is a two-year warranty on the entire structure and a five year warranty on the log structure provided the customer maintains the log finish on the structure after the two year warranty expires. Throughout that warranty period, we are in continual contact, so that all our promises are honored and all your questions are answered.

If the customer is interested in maintaining our services after the warranty period, we have a log maintenance and refinishing program.
