Construction There is no finer log home than a Southwest Log Home. We use full, round, and seasoned Lodgepole or Ponderosa pine logs from the Rocky Mountain forests that have not been milled and are pest free. The logs are skillfully hand-peeled using draw knives and are expertly cut, trimmed, fitted, and constructed using the round notch and dove tail notch systems. Notches are scribed and cut by hand using the chisel, hammer, and chainsaw. Everything is completely hand-crafted!
